Central Vietnam's wet season runs roughly September to December, bringing typhoons, heavy rain and rough seas. A big storm can close roads, ground flights and cut power for a day or two.
What to do
Check the NCHMF forecast before any coastal or island trip, keep your passport and some cash in a waterproof bag, stock a little water and a power bank, and follow your ward (phường) announcements.
